SI International wins visa program support deal
SI International Inc. won a contract from the State Department to process more than 20 million immigrant visa transactions annually at the National Visa Center and Kentucky Consular Center.
SI International Inc. won a five-year, $84 million contract from the State Department to process more than 20 million immigrant visa transactions annually at the National Visa Center and Kentucky Consular Center.
Under the contract, SI International of Reston, Va., will handle about 10 million pieces of mail and more than 700,000 telephone inquiries each year under the permanent immigrant visa program at the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, N.H., and the Kentucky Consular Center in Williamsburg, Ky. The company also will process millions of electronic submissions for the eDiversity Immigrant Visa Lottery program.
SI International also will validate application fee payments, perform data processing for data management and background checks, transmit visa applications and related documents to embassies and consulates around the world, and respond to inquiries from the public, government agencies and Congressional offices. The company has been the prime contractor for the National Visa Center contract since 1994.
SI International has more than 4,000 employees and had annual revenue of $262.3 million in fiscal 2004.
The company ranks No. 49 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
