ProSight to supply DOD headquarters with management software

Find opportunities — and win them.

Under a $1.3 million software and services contract, the Defense Department's Washington Headquarters Services will use ProSight's Portfolios software to better structure IT projects and investments.

The Defense Department's Washington Headquarters Services has selected portfolio management software from ProSight Inc. to improve its budget and cost tracking processes.

Under a $1.3 million software and services contract, WHS will use ProSight's Portfolios software to better structure IT projects and investments.

"Washington Headquarters Services is seeking to maximize the return on IT investments for both the DOD and the American taxpayer, while adhering to Federal Enterprise Architecture standards," said Rob Cox, chief information officer for WHS, in a news release.

ProSight will replace the "spreadsheet-heavy, people-dependent method" the agency currently uses, Cox said, adding that it will provide budget transparency, cost tracking and project earned-value management that will enable WHS to tie investments to its business requirements.

WHS is a field agency that has been split out of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, supporting the Pentagon and other Washington-area facilities. The agency provides a wide range of services, including financial management, human resources, IT help desk support and building maintenance.
