Engineering Systems Solutions Inc. won a $7.8 million subcontract from Technical and Management Services Corp. for its work with the Army Communications Electronics Command's Rapid Response Program.

The company's Fixed and Mobile Information Technology Division will provide the Army with portable, rapidly deployable voice and data communication systems that feature near real-time, two-way intelligence for soldiers serving in remote regions. The systems collect, integrate, fuse and analyze intelligence information, which is then disseminated to battlefield commanders.

ESS will supply several hundred counter-intelligence and human intelligence automated tool set systems over the next six months. The systems are self-contained, accepting a range of power sources and equipped with a battery-operated system for limited use when power is interrupted or unavailable. The award is a continuation of existing support.

ESS of Frederick, Md., is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that offers engineering, design and manufacturing services for a variety of fixed and mobile IT systems. The company capabilities include professional services, IT support, lifecycle management, IT training, grants and conference services.
