CACI to buy Information Systems Support

In a move calculated to boost its core IT capabilities, CACI International Inc. will purchase Information Systems Support Inc. of Gaithersburg, Md. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Through the acquisition, CACI of Arlington, Va., expects to broaden its presence in several high-growth areas of priority driven by the U.S. national security market, the company said. The acquisition will bring the company new clients with growing requirements and priority funding, which are complementary to CACI's customer base.
ISS offers solutions mainly in IT, communications and logistics. The company's annual revenue is expected to exceed $200 million for its fiscal year ending December.
ISS has about 1,100 employees in 10 states. Major clients include the Army, Navy, Air Force and civilian agencies such as the departments of Justice and Transportation.
CACI, which has about 9,500 employees and 2005 sales of $1.6 billion,
ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
