CACI secures Navy maintenance system deal

CACI International Inc. won a five-year, $21.6 million contract from the Navy to continue supporting Navy maintenance information systems throughout the Pacific fleet.

Under the Maintenance Automated Information System Transformation and Support contract, the Arlington, Va., contractor will provide network engineering, systems integration and administration and logistics analysis for the applications that track the status of repairs, upgrades and costs for all shipboard maintenance.

The company also will provide support for new developments to transform existing applications into enterprisewide systems as the Navy upgrades its infrastructure for the entire Pacific fleet.

The contract consists of one base year and four option years. CACI will perform the work at locations in the United States and across the Pacific region.

CACI of Arlington, Va., has about 9,500 people and had annual revenue of more $1.6 billion for fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
