ASD lands $405 million Army information systems deal

Advanced Systems Development Inc. won a 10-year, $405 million contract to provide IT solutions for the U.S. Army's Command Information Management System, or CIMS.
CIMS is the overall command enterprise and architecture that encompasses the primary IT functions that support the U.S. Missile Defense Agency and the Army Forces Strategic Command. It also plays a role in space operations and ballistic missile research and development.
Arlington, Va.-based ASD's team includes Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego, and Camber Corp., and InfoPro Inc., both of Huntsville, Ala.
ASD is a small business that offers enterprise IT solutions to the government and commercial sectors. It has more than 190 workers and has annual revenue of more than $20 million.
