SiloSmashers to help merge federal acquisition centers
SiloSmashers Inc. has won a pair of contracts from the Interior Department totaling $9.7 million to help merge two previously separate federal acquisition centers into a single procurement organization.
SiloSmashers Inc. has won a pair of contracts from the Interior Department totaling $9.7 million to help merge two previously separate federal acquisition centers into a single procurement organization.
The Fairfax, Va., company will provide project management and liaison support for the merger of the Interior Department's National Business Center with GovWorks' Federal Acquisition Center into a single line of business within NBC.
Under a three-year, $4.5 million contract SiloSmashers will provide acquisition line of business strategic planning and meeting facilitation. Under a separate three-year, $5.2 million contract the company will provide project management support.
The NBC offers a full range of administrative services to federal agencies, in addition to managing acquisitions and federal assistance. The business-like operating principles of GovWorks will continue in the new organization, department officials said.
SiloSmashers is a Small Business Administration-certified, woman-owned, Native American 8(a) firm. It specializes in management and technology consulting in areas such as program management, business transformation and program evaluation and performance measurement for the government and commercial sectors.
