Science Dynamics lands DISA deal

Science Dynamics Corp. has won a contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide technical and architectural support to the agency's communications systems.

Under the contract, the Pennsauken, N.J.-based company will analyze DISA's communications and offer critical support to develop a new architecture to satisfy agency needs.

The one-year, $800,000 contract has five one-year options and potentially could be worth nearly $5 million if they all are exercised. Systems Management Engineering Inc., a unit of Science Dynamics, will perform the work.

The project team will draw on the telecommunications expertise of Science Dynamics, as well as the enterprise architecture proficiency of Systems Management Engineering, the company said.

After the first year of the contract, Systems Management Engineering will support the development of a systems engineering management process, analyze emerging technologies and perform strategic planning for the agency.

Systems Management Engineering offers advanced data management applications, Internet server technologies, and information systems to the commercial and government sectors. Science Dynamics owns 82 percent of the company.
