Navy re-ups CACI for installation support services

CACI International Inc. has won a three-year, $8 million contract to supply technical and business consulting services to the Commander of Navy Installations. The contract was awarded by the Navy Inventory Control Point.

Under the contract, CACI of Arlington, Va., will support the Commander of Navy Installation's IT infrastructure and information networks. This includes supporting maintenance and deployment of enterprise-wide software applications, as well as technical support for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet project.

CACI has provided such services to the Navy Shore Installation Management enterprise since June 2000.

The Commander of Navy Installations is a large business enterprise that supports naval operating forces and bases, and the communities in which they are located. It manages a range of functions, including port operations, facilities, public safety, and command and staff.

Most recently, the Commander of Navy Installations oversaw the identification of Navy housing facilities to shelter military members and families displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

CACI has more than 9,500 employees and annual sales of $1.1 billion. The company ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
