Leadership change at Apogen

Paul Leslie, president and chief operating officer of Apogen Technologies Inc., will take over leadership of the company at the end of the year.
Paul Leslie, president and chief operating officer of Apogen Technologies Inc., will take over leadership of the company at the end of the year after Todd Stottlemyer assumes the top spot at the National Federation of Independent Businesses.
Leslie and Stottlemyer helped form Apogen in 2003 when they and other investors acquired ITS Services Inc. of Springfield, Va. In 2004, their company later merged with Science and Engineering Associates of New Orleans and created the Apogen name.
In September, they completed the sale of Apogen to the British defense company QinetiQ Plc. Apogen is the U.S. IT platform for that company.
Apogen of McLean, Va., had 2004 revenue of about $205 million and was ranked No. 48 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100. The company provides IT and engineering services to defense and civilian agencies including the Agriculture, Defense, Energy and Homeland Security departments, and the Census Bureau, the Customs and Border Protection agency, the IRS and the Navy.
Stottlemyer and Leslie have worked together at other companies during their careers including BDM International Inc. and BTG Inc.
