Williams leads list of honored contractors, executives

Earle Williams, considered one of the founders of the government IT services industry, headed the lineup of winners recognized at the third annual Greater Washington Contractor Awards dinner Oct. 19.

Earle Williams, considered one of the founders of the government IT services industry, headed the lineup of winners recognized at the third annual Greater Washington Contractor Awards dinner Oct. 19.

Williams was the long time chairman and chief executive officer of BDM International Inc. He received the Hall of Fame award for his contributions to the IT industry.

The annual awards are given by the Northern Virginia GovCon Council, the Professional Services Council and Washington Technology. The GovCon Council is part of the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce. Grant Thornton LLP and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP are the Platinum sponsors of the event.
