Computer Sciences Corp. has won a five-year contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to support the National Gateway Center.
Computer Sciences Corp. has won a five-year, $17.6 million contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to support the National Gateway Center, the company announced last week.
Under the contract, CSC of El Segundo, Calif., will provide the National Gateway Center with engineering services, equipment maintenance and logistics, and applications support. The center is a multilevel secure messaging switch center for the Defense Department.
In addition, CSC will continue to provide the agency with mission support and legacy messaging services to ensure Defense Message System interoperability with the intelligence community, other federal agencies and allied nations.
The new agreement follows a five-year, $24.8 million contract signed in 2000 under which CSC provides similar support services to DISA's Defense Message System Transition Hub.
About 21 CSC technicians, engineers and management professionals will perform the work at the National Gateway Center at Fort Detrick, Md.
CSC has about 78,000 employees and annual sales of $14.8 billion. The company ranks No. 4 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
