MTC Technologies lands Air Force logistics work
MTC Technologies Inc. won a one-year, $5.3 million contract from the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center to help develop common processes for logistics programs, according to officials from the company.
MTC Technologies Inc. won a one-year, $5.3 million contract from the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center to help develop common processes for logistics programs, according to officials from the company.
Under the contract, Manufacturing Technology Inc. will develop common processes and shared solutions for programs not only within the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center but also across other Air Force centers.
Specifically, the company will use its software designed to manage obsolescent components to address common issues in the nearly 10 individually managed programs at the air logistics center.
The contract will support the integration and operation of diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages programs at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. This contract award expands the company's presence at the base.
Manufacturing Technology Inc. is a unit of MTC Technologies of Dayton, Ohio. The company, which has about 2,700 employees and annual sales of $273 million, ranks No. 59 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
