SRC wins naval warfare systems engineering work

Scientific Research Corp. has won a $5.1 million contract with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Charleston, S.C., to provide systems engineering and other services, said company officials. The contract could be worth $27.5 million if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, SRC of Atlanta will provide systems engineering, software integration, configuration management and life cycle management support and other services for various command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs and projects.

Work on the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, which is structured in a performance-based fashion, is expected to be completed by August 2006, or by August 2010 with the options.

The new contract allows SRC to expand its support of the command and control systems domain and builds on related work with the center that includes software development, systems integration, installation, and life cycle support over the past 16 years.

SRC ranks No. 78 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list that measures federal IT contracting revenue.
