SRA tapped for Air Force continuity work

SRA International Inc. won a six-year, $13.7 million task order to provide support for continuity command-and-control processes for Air Force headquarters, the company announced today.

The task order was awarded under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations contract, a 10-year, multiple-award contract managed by the National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center. The NIH center offers IT solutions to all government agencies.

SRA has worked with Air Force headquarters since 1997 to develop a continuity program to ensure its mission-essential functions continue at full strength during national-security emergencies or other events that affect operations at its primary facility.

Under the task order, SRA will continue to provide support for all policy, planning, training and IT operations. ICF Consulting Group Inc., a management, technology and policy consulting firm in Fairfax, Va., is working with SRA.

Fairfax, Va.-based SRA provides IT services and solutions to federal government agencies. It employs about 4,600 workers and had revenue of $615.8 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2004. The company is ranked No. 27 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of prime federal contractors.
