Louisville, Ky., taps Integraph for incident response work

Intergraph Corp. won a $6.4 million contract from the city of Louisville, Ky., to provide an incident response and management system for the city's MetroSafe Communications and Emergency Management program, the company announced this week.

Under the contract, Intergraph of Huntsville, Ala., will provide a multijurisdictional, computer-aided dispatch system, mobile computing, and reporting and analysis software. The deal calls for Intergraph to supply software, hardware, peripherals and integration services.

The MetroSafe system, once complete, will allow emergency responders in various agencies to communicate with about 20 public safety agencies in the Louisville metro area. Intergraph's system provides technology deployment that enables information sharing and interoperability between agencies and jurisdictions, providing improved emergency response, the company said.

MetroSafe also expects to extend interoperability to suburban fire districts, all 911 public safety answering points and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Intergraph has 3,500 employees and annual sales of $551.1 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
