Army turns to SYColeman for communications support

SYColeman Corp. won a seven-year, $71 million contract from the Army for strategic and public communications support, the company has announced.
Under the contract, SYColeman will provide management, communications analysis and planning, product development, outreach and exhibit support services for the Army's executive and public affairs offices.
The contract "allows us to provide critical services to the U.S. Army while expanding our strategic communications and public outreach capabilities," said Jerry Bates, president of SYColeman.
Based in Arlington, Va., SYColeman is part of L-3 Communications Corp.'s government services group. It provides program management, information technology services, systems engineering, operational support for soldiers, strategic planning and communications, and integrated security solutions to the federal government in the United States and overseas.
L-3 is based in New York and employs 44,200 workers. It had 2004 revenue of nearly $6.9 billion, ranked No. 15 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
