SI's Oleson turns over CEO title to Antle
Bradford Antle was appointed president and CEO at SI International Inc., replacing the founder, Ray Oleson, who will become executive chairman.
Bradford Antle was appointed president and chief executive officer at Top 100 company SI International Inc., the company said today. He replaces the founder, Ray Oleson, who will become executive chairman.
Antle, who currently holds the title of president and chief operating officer, was also appointed to the board of directors. He will assume his new positions at the Reston, Va.-based IT and network solutions firm on Sept. 24.
The changes are in keeping with the company's long-term succession plans, Oleson said in a prepared statement. He founded the company in 1998.
"The role of chairman has become a full-time job, given the increased duties and responsibilities associated with being a public company," Oleson said. "Promoting Brad to CEO will enable me to devote more attention to that position with a heightened focus on strategic business planning for continued long-term growth initiatives and future acquisitions."
In his current role, Antle also has overall responsibility for the company's marketing and sales, revenue management, client relations and operating units.
Antle joined SI International in 1999 and played key roles in the acquisition and integration of six companies into SI International and directing the firm's business units. From June 1999 through February 2001, he was SI International's executive vice president.
Before joining the company, Antle worked for Lockheed Martin Corp. where he was named its first director of Washington technical operations in 1996. Three years after he set up the new engineering division, Antle built the organization to more than 1,700 engineers, supporting 21 sites and 70 programs.
SI International employs about 3,700 people and had 2004 revenue of $262.3 million. It ranks No. 49 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
