ManTech wins Army field support work for Afghanistan

ManTech International Corp. has won a $27.7 million contract from the Army Field Support Command to provide technical services for Afghanistan's property accountability program, the company announced today. The contract has one base year and four one-year options.

Under the contract, ManTech's property record-keeping services will include maintaining automated records inventories; providing accountability for property requests, returns and adjustments; evaluating property usage; and validating existing and new property worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The Army Field Support Command in Rock Island, Ill., provides Army Materiel Command logistics for contingency and sustainment support worldwide.

Based in Fairfax, Va., ManTech provides technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs to the federal government.

The company employs about 6,000 people and had 2004 revenue of $842.4 million. It ranks No. 21 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
