ISS names new CEO

IT, communications and logistics management services company Information Systems Support Inc. has promoted Eric Whittleton as its new president and chief executive officer, the company announced this week.

Whittleton, who previously served as ISS' chief operating officer, replaces Young Lee, the company's founder and president, who is retiring. Lee will continue to be a company shareholder.

The company also announced that Gary Fuller was appointed COO and that Mark Morein and Angeline Wong were made executive vice presidents. Morein and Wong will continue to lead the company's corporate development and finance areas, respectively.

ISS also appointed Dan Bannister, former chief executive officer and chairman of DynCorp, and retired U.S. Army Gen. John Coburn to its board as independent directors. Coburn is the chairman and CEO of Vision Technologies Systems Inc., Alexandria, Va., a company that provides defense and engineering products to the government and commercial markets.

Based in Gaithersburg, Md., ISS has 1,200 workers in 15 offices in the U.S. and South Korea. It had 2004 revenue of $231 million. The company is ranked No. 45 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of the largest government contractors.
