EFJ takes on DOD radio project
EFJ Inc.'s subsidiary, EF Johnson, received an order from the Defense Department for $6.4 million worth of Project 25-compliant portable and mobile radios and accessories.
EFJ Inc.'s subsidiary, EF Johnson, received an order from the Defense Department for $6.4 million worth of Project 25-compliant portable and mobile radios and accessories, said officials from the Irving, Texas, company.
Project 25 is the standard for interoperable, digital, two-way wireless communications products.
"The DOD has been a significant customer of ours over the last 18 months and we are pleased to assist them in their efforts to successfully complete their critical Project 25 communication objectives," said Michael Jalbert, chairman and chief executive officer of EFJ.
EF Johnson provides two-way radios and communication systems for law enforcement, firefighters, EMS and the military. Its parent company, EFJ, is a wireless telecommunications solutions provider.
