CACI racks up win with naval aviation

CACI International Inc. won a three-year, $73 million prime contract to provide program management and technical services to support the Naval Aviation Enterprise and the Naval Aviation Readiness Integrated Improvement Program, the company has announced.

The Naval Aviation Enterprise ensures that all Navy and Marine Corps aircraft are ready for training and that all aviation personnel are trained and equipped to support their missions. The Naval Aviation Readiness Integrated Improvement Program improves processes and offers guidance and resources for meeting these goals.

CACI will help the Naval Aviation Enterprise enhance its readiness processes and reduce costs. The Arlington, Va., contractor also will help evaluate policies and procedures, collect and analyze data and identify and remove barriers to improving the processes, training and resource management. Finally, the company will support the Navy's new AIRSpeed initiative to achieve the right level of readiness at the right cost.

The Naval Air Systems Command Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Patuxent River, Md., awarded CACI the contract. CACI has worked with the naval aviation community on several Navair contracts and programs.

CACI employs approximately 9,500 people and had revenue of more than $1.1 billion for its fiscal year ended June 30, 2004. It is No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
