Anteon wins Air Force software support deal

Anteon International Corp. won a 32-month, $10 million contract to provide software engineering support services for the Air Force Materiel Command at Ogden Air Logistics Center, the company said yesterday.

Under the contract, Anteon of Fairfax, Va., will design, develop and test the embedded software and hardware of the Air Force's weapon systems platforms at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.

The Air Force Materiel Command develops, acquires and sustains the aerospace power needed for defending the United States and its national interests. The command oversees eight mission areas that include product support, information services, supply management, depot maintenance, science and technology, testing and evaluation, installations and support, and information management.

Anteon is an IT, systems engineering and integration company whose primary customer is the federal government. The company has more than 9,200 workers worldwide and annual revenue of $1.3 billion. It ranks No. 13 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
