State taps Analysis for data program

The Analysis Corp. won a five-year, $3.7 million contract from the State Department to provide critical homeland security-related information to embassies, consulates and border security officers, the company said Monday.

The company, which builds and maintains watch-list systems and develops systems for distributing counterterrorism data, will provide the service through the department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research. The bureau analyzes events for State Department policymakers, ensures that intelligence activities support U.S. foreign policy and national security purposes, and serves as the department's focal point for reviewing policies for counterintelligence and law enforcement activities.

TAC has worked with the State Department for 15 years in developing information support systems, providing analysts and supplying ongoing maintenance services for the Bureau of Intelligence and Research.

Based in Fairfax, Va., TAC provides counterterrorism and anticrime services to a variety of government agencies.
