Enterprise Integration Inc. wins $40M logistics contract

Enterprise Integration Inc. won a five-year, $40 million contract follow-on from the Army to provide management and monitoring support for the Army's plan to integrate its logistics processes, the company said yesterday.

Under the Single Army Logistics Enterprise program, the Army wants to combine its national and tactical logistics into a fully integrated, single end-to-end enterprise. The Army does not have a universal logistics information management system at the theater and national levels to give logisticians and commanders a common operating picture to assess material readiness and combat position.

IDS Scheer Inc. of Berwyn, Pa., and Gartner Inc. of Stamford, Conn., are subcontractors. IDS Scheer, the North American subsidiary of German software and consulting company IDS Scheer AG, will assist in providing management and monitoring support. Gartner will provide research.

The Army awarded the original contract, worth $20 million, in 2003.

Based in Alexandria, Va., EII provides architecture-driven, enterprise integration solutions for the commercial, educational and government sectors. The company employs 35 workers and does not disclose its revenue.
