CACI wins Army Forces Command training contract

CACI International Inc. has won a $27 million contract from the Army Forces Command to support battle-command training for Army reserve units, the company announced today.

CACI of Arlington, Va., will provide comprehensive training and IT support for war-gaming simulations. The work includes programming the simulations and maintaining related databases as well as preparing and training reserve personnel for simulations use.

The company also will support computer-driven simulation exercises for all Army units and other agencies, as well as provide similar services for the Army Battle Command Systems, a network of applications that delivers warfighting data to command centers and commanders in the field.

The contract was awarded under the Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services contract, a $650 million multiple-award contracting vehicle for which CACI is one of the prime contractors.

The Army Forces Command, headquartered at Fort McPherson, Ga., trains, mobilizes and deploys combat-ready forces worldwide. Under its Battle Command Staff Training program, the command conducts training exercises that help ensure Army Reserve units are prepared and ready for mobilization and deployment.

CACI offers IT and network solutions for defense, intelligence and e-government. It has more than 9,500 employees and annual sales of $843 million.
