SYS Technologies wins subcontract work

The San Diego IT company won a $1.6 million contract to develop the Undersea Warfare Decision Support System for the Navy.

Information technology company SYS Technologies Inc. won a $1.6 million contract to develop the Undersea Warfare Decision Support System for the Navy, the company said today.

The system is an integrated, network-centric, anti-submarine warfare and mine warfare command and control capability that operates in near real-time and uses sensor alignment to improve situational awareness. It will give the Navy's fleet the capability to plan and control undersea warfare operations.

Based in San Diego, SYS Technologies provides IT, information analysis and engineering services to the U.S. federal government and large industrial customers. It employs about 340 workers and had revenue of nearly $35 million for the year ended June 30, 2004.
