President selected for new GTSI subsidiary

GTSI Corp. named Jack Helmy president of its new GTSI Financial Services Inc. subsidiary, officials from the Chantilly, Va., company said.

GTSI Financial Services offers solutions to government and industry customers that address budget constraints, according to company officials. The subsidiary was created earlier this year.

"The demand for IT services and solutions by government is at an all-time high, but many agencies are hamstrung by near-term budget constraints," said Dendy Young, GTSI's chairman and CEO. "Financial Services offers government a solution that addresses this critical need."

Before GTSI, Helmy held positions with GMAC Commercial Finance and Comdisco Telecom.
