CAE Inc. of Montreal won a contract with the Army Program Executive Office of Simulation, Training and Instrumentation to build a MH-60 Black Hawk Block 1 combat mission simulator, company officials said.
The contract is worth approximately $26 million, and the simulator will go to the Army's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment-Airborne.
The simulator can support training and mission rehearsal for both variants of the MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. It will have CAE's Medallion-S image generator and a large field-of-view display system.
The simulator is to be delivered in late 2006, following the delivery of a CAE-built A/MH-6 Little Bird simulator this summer and a MH-47G CMS scheduled for spring 2006.
