Anteon takes on Naval Sea Systems support

Anteon International Corp. won a five-year, $47 million contract to provide program management and other support services to the Naval Sea Systems Command, the company said today.

The 50,000-person command is located at the Washington Navy Yard and oversees engineering, construction and support of the Navy's ships and combat systems.

Anteon will handle program management, systems engineering and financial management services for the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems, including support to the command executives, corporate and financial offices and the technology demonstration unit.

"We are proud to be an important part of the Navy's efforts to deliver enterprise solutions for Naval warfare systems that operate seamlessly and effectively within the Fleet and Joint Force," said Dan Johnson, Anteon chief operating officer, said in a press release.

Anteon of Fairfax, Va., has more than 8,800 employees and is ranked No. 19 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
