Northrop makes a deal for Integic

Northrop Grumman Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to buy privately held technology firm Integic Corp. for an undisclosed sum.

Northrop Grumman Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to buy privately held technology firm Integic Corp. for an undisclosed sum, the company said today.

Integic will be incorporated into Northrop Grumman's information technology division in McLean, Va. The transaction is expected to close in March or April. Citigroup Global Markets Inc. was Northrop Grumman's financial advisor on the deal.

"Integic compliments our current government information technology business," said Jim O'Neill, Northrop Grumman corporate vice president and president of the company's IT sector. Integic's solutions "will allow us to strengthen and broaden our offerings in enterprise health IT systems, human resources systems and business process management solutions," he said.

Based in Chantilly, Va., Integic provides information technology solutions in enterprise health and business process management. The company employs more than 600 workers and had 2004 revenue of $161 million. It ranks No. 59 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Northrop Grumman is No. 2 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list. The company employs more than 125,000 workers and had 2004 revenue of about $29.9 billion. Its information technology division provides solutions and business services for government and commercial clients.
