CSC wins Navy test-range contract

Computer Sciences Corp. won a $762 million contract for operations and maintenance of the Navy's Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center.

The contract is for three-years with four three-year options, the company said Tuesday.

The center is a major range and test facility that provides deep and shallow water test and training environments for the Navy, CSC said.

The El Segundo, Calif., company's DynCorp Technical Services unit won the contract. The unit is not part of the sale of certain DynCorp units that CSC is divesting to Veritas Capital.

Under the contract, CSC will provide scheduling and conduct test programs, operation range instrumentation and test support systems. Work will be carried out at locations including Andros Island, the Bahamas, West Palm Beach and Cape Canaveral, Fla., and Yorktown, Va.
