Defense taps RGII Technologies to support health care system

RGII Technologies Inc. has won an $11 million contract from the Defense Department to provide IT, program management and engineering services to the Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office, the company announced today.

RGII Technologies of Annapolis, Md., will offer consultative support and engineering services to the Tri-Service Infrastructure Management Program Office, or Timpo, a comprehensive health information system used by Defense Department medical personnel worldwide.

The company will work with Timpo to install and maintain a common, standards-based communications and computing infrastructure that will ensure the Defense Department's global medical community has secure access to health care information.

The infrastructure is essential to support Tricare, the Defense Department's managed health care program, the company said.

RGII Technologies, which has 350 employees, is a subsidiary of Computer Horizons Corp. of Mountain Lakes, N.J. The company has more than 2,660 employees and annual sales of $245.2, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
