ManTech to help Navy with training
ManTech International Corp. won a five-year, $39.2 million contract from the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center to provide training for command and control and other related Defense Department systems.
ManTech International Corp. won a five-year, $39.2 million contract from the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center to provide training for command and control and other related Defense Department systems, the Defense Department said.
The San Diego-based Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center provides command, control, communications, computers and intelligence technologies to link Pentagon strategists and field commanders.
Under the contract, ManTech will provide support for hardware installation teams, develop training material and develop job analysis material. The company also will conduct human performance readiness reviews, develop and update training plans and conduct fleet training surveys and technology researches. ManTech will recommend technology solutions for training requirements.
The task order contract carries eight six-month options, which could bring the contract's value to almost $75.6 million.
ManTech's advanced development group will perform the work in San Diego. The work is expected to be completed December 2009.
Based in Fairfax, Va., ManTech employs more than 5,500 people and had 2003 revenue of $701.6 million. It is No. 22 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
