L-3 tapped to aid Army intel command
L-3 Communications Corp. won a five-year, $209 million contract to provide intelligence, force management and information technology services to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command.
L-3 Communications Corp. won a five-year, $209 million contract to provide intelligence, force management and information technology services to the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, the company said yesterday.
L-3's government services group along with the company's subsidiaries, MPRI Inc. and Ilex Systems Inc. will provide the services under the Rapid Labor Service Support Requirement omnibus contract. Other team members include Camber Corp., Spectrum Comm Inc., Zel Technologies LLC and Advanced C4 Solutions Inc.
Headquartered in New York, L-3 provides a range of technology-based services, support and products to federal, state and local governments and to the commercial sector.
Its federal clients include the Defense and Homeland Security departments, government intelligence agencies and aerospace prime contractors. The company ranks No. 14 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors. It employs about 38,000 workers and had 2003 revenue of $5.1 billion.
