Harris Corp. has won a $175 million contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide maintenance and engineering services, the company announced today.

Harris Corp. has won a nine-year, $175 million contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency to provide maintenance and engineering services, the company announced today.

Under the contract, Harris Technical Services Corp. will provide system maintenance and engineering for the agency's crisis management system.

For the maintenance segment of the program, Harris will provide on-site corrective maintenance for all crisis management system hardware and software components.

For the engineering segment it will provide design, development, integration, test, installation, training and documentation for all enhancements to the system's network.

The agency's crisis management system is a secure, high-performance voice, video and data network operating over a dedicated IP backbone. The system provides a secure network for exchange of high-interest, time-sensitive information among top-level government officials during emergencies.

Harris Technical Services Corp., a subsidiary of Harris Corp. of Melbourne, Fla., has 10,900 employees and annual sales of $2.5 billion. The company ranked No. 16 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
