CSC to support Air Force logistics
Computer Sciences Corp. won a $107.8 million contract from the Air Force to support the Materiel Systems Group's Stock Control System as well as help with the transition to an enterprise resource planning system.
Computer Sciences Corp. won a contract potentially worth $107.8 million from the Air Force to support the Materiel Systems Group's Stock Control System, the company said today.
CSC will support operations and maintenance as well as help the group transition to an enterprise resource planning system. The contract is for one year with three one-year options and one seven-month option. Work includes performance monitoring, database and system administration and software development and maintenance.
The Stock Control System's logistics system supports both Air Force and Marine Corps operations worldwide by providing order fulfillment and stock accountability for more than two million line items with a value of more than $40 billion.
CSC's defense integrated solutions and services division will perform the work primarily in Fairborn, Ohio, and at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. CSC's team includes Digital Concepts Inc., UCR LLC and Peerless Technologies Corp.
CSC is No. 3 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal contractors, ranked according to their prime IT contracting revenue. The company employs about 91,000 workers and had revenue of $14.8 billion for the year ended April 2.
