BAE wins two Navy tech support deals

BAE Systems Technology Solutions Inc. won two new Navy contracts totaling $26.4 million to provide engineering support services, foreign military sales technical support and procurement support.

BAE Systems Technology Solutions Inc. has won two new Navy contracts totaling $26.4 million, the company announced today.

Under a $21.4 million award from the Navy's Integrated Combat Systems Division, BAE Systems Technology Solutions will provide engineering support services and foreign military sales technical and programmatic support, according to company officials.

Under a $5 million subcontract from Anteon Corp. of Fairfax, Va., BAE Systems Technology Solutions will provide configuration, business and finance, and acquisition management support services for both the Navy and foreign military sales of Aegis-class ships. The contract has a potential value of $24.9 million over five years, if all options are exercised.

Company employees in the Washington metropolitan area will perform work on both contracts.

BAE Systems Technology Solutions of Rockville, Md., a provider of technical and professional services for the federal government, is a unit of BAE Systems North America Inc., also of Rockville, Md.

BAE Systems North America has more than 25,000 employees and annual sales of $4.4 billion. The company, a subsidiary of BAE Systems Plc of Farnborough, England, ranked No. 12 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
