CACI wins $266 million in national security work

CACI International Inc. won about $266 million in previously unannounced contracts during its latest quarter from various federal agencies to support national security and intelligence activities, the company said Tuesday.

All the contracts were awarded during the three months ending Sept. 30. Under the contracts, CACI will provide network services, systems integration and knowledge management solutions. Almost 60 percent of the $266 million is new work for CACI.

For one project, CACI will help support the global telecommunications and networking operating systems of an unnamed national intelligence agency client. On another award for a Defense Department client, the company will assist with developing and integrating software as part of a systems integration project. Other contracts call for CACI to provide knowledge management solutions for federal agencies that support coalition forces in the war on terrorism.

Based in Arlington, Va., CACI employs 9,400 people and had revenue of more than $1.1 billion for its fiscal year ended June 30. It is No. 17 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
