U.S. to aid Bosnia-Herzegovina

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency wants proposals for a feasibility study to help BH Telecom, Bosnia and Herzegovina's largest state-owned telecom provider, evaluate deploying a nationwide Wi-Fi network.

The network will provide most of the country's inhabitants with a low-cost option to telecom services and Internet protocol applications as well as expand coverage to remote rural regions. The work will be funded by a U.S. Trade and Development Agency grant. The contractor may use subcontractors from the host country for up to 20 percent of the grant amount.
