PEC wins $93 million federal courts deal

PEC Solutions Inc. has won a five-year, $93 million contract award from the Administrative Office of the United States Courts to provide information technology services to the federal courts, the company announced today.

Under the contract, PEC of Fairfax, Va., will provide software design, development and integration as well as independent testing, quality assurance, operations and maintenance, and local area network and computer support.

The contract will enable PEC to continue supporting programs such as the courts' case management filing systems, the company said.

The services will be provided through the Judiciary Multiple Awards Schedule for Information Technology Technical Support, or JMAS-ITTS, contracting vehicle.

The award marks the company's second win under the schedule. Earlier this year, PEC won a contract to provide project management planning and acquisition support to the federal judiciary.

PEC will perform the contract work in Phoenix, San Antonio and Washington. The scope of work eventually may include court units throughout the United States and its territories, the company said.

PEC is a professional services firm specializing in Web-based IT systems for government agencies. The company has more than 1,200 employees and annual sales of $172 million, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas. PEC ranked No. 89 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
