The agency wants to change tools and business processes that state and local agencies use to deliver benefits to low-income state residents. The agency will replace two mainframe eligibility subsystems with one system that covers the entire state. It also wants new tools to collect and forward data needed to determine eligibility for program benefits.
Another component of the project is a pair of semi-autonomous subsystems to support a variety of programs. Each subsystem requires its own programming, user support and testing resources. An RFP is expected in December.
