Ciber wins Wyoming ERP implementation

Ciber Inc. has won a multimillion-dollar contract from the Wyoming Transportation Department to implement and host enterprise resource planning software, the company announced this week.

Ciber of Denver will implement PeopleSoft's enterprise financial management and enterprise human capital management solutions and AgileAsset's asset and maintenance management technologies.

The solution includes multiple connections between the applications and other state applications. The new system replaces the department's custom-developed mainframe applications for managing core financial and human resources information, including job costing, time reporting and other functions.

As part of the hosting contract, Ciber will provide a virtual operations center for the Wyoming Transportation Department's application suite and assume responsibility for monitoring and managing the environment, administration tasks and help desk support.

The implementation will enable the Wyoming Transportation Department to streamline processes, reduce the amount of time required for administrative paperwork and improve data accuracy and enhance reporting capabilities, the company said.

The new solution will be installed and hosted at Ciber's IT Operations Center. The center offers a full suite of managed operational services, including technology and service desk solutions.

PeopleSoft Inc. of Pleasanton, Calif., is an ERP software provider, while AgileAssets Inc. of Austin, Texas, is an asset maintenance and management software provider.

Ciber, a systems integrator for the government and commercial sectors, has more than 7,500 employees and annual sales of $850 million.
