Scheflen to head Viisage's federal group
Kenneth Scheflen has been named senior vice president and general manager of the Federal Solutions Group at Viisage Technology.
Kenneth Scheflen has been named senior vice president and general manager of the Federal Solutions Group at Viisage Technology Inc., the company announced today.
Scheflen has served as director of the Defense Department's Defense Manpower Data Center since 1977. During his tenure there, he oversaw the creation and evolution of numerous strategic security initiatives in support of defense programs, including the Smart Card Program, also known as the Common Access Card program.
Scheflen joined the Defense Department in 1974. He received the Secretary of Defense Meritorious Civilian Service Award in 1987 and 2001 and was conferred the Presidential Rank of Meritorious Executive in 1996 and 2001. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in administration sciences from Yale University.
