Fingerprint systems topping 98 percent accuracy rates came from Cogent Systems Inc., Alhambra, Calif.; NEC Technologies Inc., Itasca, Ill.; and Sagem Morpho Inc., Tacoma, Wash.
In similar tests in 2002, the most accurate facial-recognition systems tested had accuracy rates of 71.5 percent.
