Knightsbridge starts federal practice

Knightsbridge Solutions LLC has started a new federal practice in response to the government's need for complex data management solutions and services, the company announced today.

The company intends to partner with systems integrators interested in enhancing their data management expertise for federal projects.

Jay Desai, a Knightsbridge co-founder, is the federal practice area's leader, while James Inscoe, a company senior principal, is co-leader.

In May, Knightsbridge opened a new office in McLean, Va., to support its existing local clients, including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Capital One Financial Corp., and its recruitment efforts.

The Chicago-based firm also has offices in the New York City area, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay area.

Knightsbridge is a professional services firm that has 350 employees and focuses exclusively on business intelligence and data warehousing solutions. The company is working with Grant Thornton on a three-year program to develop a data integration strategy for the Education Department's Federal Aid Office.
