Hobbs to be Treasury CIO

Ira Hobbs, the Agriculture Department's deputy chief information officer for the past seven years, has been named CIO for the Treasury Department, effective June 13. Hobbs will oversee Treasury's $2.6 billion IT portfolio, including IRS' troubled business systems modernization.

Ira Hobbs, the Agriculture Department's deputy chief information officer for the past seven years, has been named CIO for the Treasury Department, effective June 13. Hobbs will oversee Treasury's $2.6 billion IT portfolio, including IRS' troubled business systems modernization. He replaces Drew Ladner, who left April 30.
