CACI wins subcontract for Naval logistics support

CACI International Inc. has won a 12-year, $55 million subcontract from Anteon Corp. to provide integrated logistics support for the U.S. Navy's Program Executive Office ships.

The recompete award includes a two-year base contract with three one-year options and seven one-year performance-based award terms. The contract was awarded to Anteon Corp. of Fairfax, Va., by the Naval Sea Systems Command.

Under the subcontract, CACI of Arlington will provide Anteon with logistics support for all aspects of the supply process. CACI will validate that shipboard equipment is properly configured and ensure that the correct spare parts are stocked in appropriate numbers.

Navy PEO Ships is charged with ensuring the readiness of surface ships and combat weapons systems. CACI's support spans each ship's life cycle, from the time it is built until it is decommissioned. CACI, which already was performing this work at six locations around the country, made the transition to the new contract on May 1.
