BAE grabs STI Industries division

	BAE Systems North America has agreed to acquire STI Government Systems, a division of STI Industries Inc. in Honolulu, for $27 million in cash, according to BAE. The deal is expected to close next month.

BAE Systems North America has agreed to acquire STI Government Systems, a division of STI Industries Inc. in Honolulu, for $27 million in cash, according to BAE. The deal is expected to close next month.

The acquisition brings with it expertise in photonics, information technologies and systems integration. STI works with the Navy to develop defense applications of its technologies and provides services to other agencies in pollution mapping and search and rescue.
