Navy enlists AT&T for professional services
AT&T Government Solutions has won two five-year professional services contracts totaling $13.3 million to help the Navy manage its worldwide construction assets.
AT&T Government Solutions has won two five-year professional services contracts totaling $13.3 million to help the Navy manage its worldwide construction assets, the company announced today.
Under one contract, AT&T Government Solutions of Vienna, Va., will implement a program to inventory construction equipment, validate associated data and identify maintenance needs for the Naval Facilities Expeditionary Logistics Center in Port Hueneme, Calif.
Under the other contract, the company will develop standard preventative maintenance procedures for Navy-owned construction equipment and assist in implementing the Navy's Maintenance Material Management system.
Both contracts apply to equipment under care of the Naval Construction Force, which provides the Navy, Marines Corps and other forces with rapid contingency response, construction and disaster recovery support and humanitarian assistance.
AT&T Government Solutions provides IT business to federal, state and local government, and is a unit of AT&T Corp. of Bedminster, N.J. AT&T has about 71,000 employees and annual sales of $34.5 billion. The company ranked No. 31 on Washington Technology's 2003 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
